I haven't checked the "play on line" version but Chapter 1 in the zip file has a repeated section. I did not find the exact start and end point but if you check out about 8:24 & 17:25 they are about the same point in repeated lines.

Confirmed.

The repeat is from 11:38 to 20:38. (Interesting that it's exactly 9 minutes.) But there is also text missing. Cutting out the repeated part, this needs to be inserted:

"That was it! He had discovered a river! That was the fact placing old Lingard so much above the common crowd of sea-going adventurers who traded with Hudig in the daytime and drank champagne, gambled, sang noisy songs, and made love to half-caste girls under the broad verandah of the Sunda Hotel at night. Into that river, whose entrances himself only knew, Lingard used to take his assorted cargo of Manchester goods, brass gongs, rifles and gunpowder. His brig Flash, which he commanded himself, would on those occasions disappear quietly during the night from the roadstead while his companions were sleeping off the effects of the midnight carouse, Lingard seeing them drunk under the table before going on board, himself unaffected by any amount of liquor."

Heya, Thanks for the PM. I could remove the repeated section if necessary, but unfortunately I no longer have a recording mic I would need to re-record the missing test.

Thanks for the post! We can get another reader to record the missing portion, then. It's not the ideal solution, as the voices will be different, but at least the text will be complete.

I recorded the missing portion. My voice isn't the same as yours, but I don't think it's too jarring. :)

Corrected file is uploaded now. The 64kb file will be derived soon.
