First, I have been really enjoying this multi-reader recording. Almost all the readers so far have been from your side of the Atlantic, which isn't the first thing I'd think of, but the readings are so good that the American-ness of the voices soon feels very natural.

However, at about 1:35 in chapter 16 of Mansfield Park, there are a number of unedited stumbles and repetitions that appear to have been missed in proof listening. The chapter was recorded in July 2006, I think, which may have been before PL got properly going.

I checked the catalogue page for the book, and it tells me neither the BC nor the MC, so I am contacting you in lieu of either of them. If there is a way to determine either of them, will you please let me know how, as well as informing them, so that I don't have to bother you in future.

I double-checked and there are indeed a couple of repeats right after 1:35; should be easy to edit out. Michelle (mcrandall) was the reader and she is definitely still around. I'll shoot her a note; if she doesn't have time to deal with the repeats, I'll take care of them and replace the chapter.

(Anita was BC and kri was MC.)

LOL ... and twenty-seven people contacting you to point it out (sorry, choccie, I'd not refreshed the page to see you post, before my reply above.)

I think this is ok now.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.

Yes, it sounds good to me too. I'm working on replacing the file but my Internet connection seems very sketchy this morning for some reason, so it might take a while. (Can barely log on to Librivox either, takes forever to load a page.) Just don't want anybody else trying to replace it at the same time as me.

You're welcome.

Sorry to take so long to respond, but I've been away on holiday, listening to the rest of the book. Just a few chapters to go now, and although I know the story, I'm on tenterhooks to hear it finish...

I do love Librivox, it's a widow's cruise of treasure.
