I can't open any of the files beyond chapter 3.

Can you tell us what way you tried to download the files? (the zip, or the 64kbps or 128kbps or the ogg vorbis files?)
I just now randomly tried some chapters beyond chapter 3, and am hearing them fine. Or did you download the zip and is that the problem? (I didn't try that yet).
It might also be worthwhile to try it again - archive.org sometimes has some temporary unexpected problems....
