huge, the 128kpb is missing this section:
What was Oliver's horror and alarm as he stood a few paces off,
looking on with his eyelids as wide open as they would possibly
go, to see the Dodger plunge his hand into the old gentleman's
pocket, and draw from thence a handkerchief! To see him hand the
same to Charley Bates; and finally to behold them, both running
away round the corner at full speed!

In an instant the whole mystery of the hankerchiefs, and the
watches, and the jewels, and the Jew, rushed upon the boy's mind.

He stood, for a moment, with the blood so tingling through all
his veins from terror, that he felt as if he were in a burning
fire; then, confused and frightened, he took to his heels; and,
not knowing what he did, made off as fast as he could lay his
feet to the ground.
It is also missing this: (at 9:12)
'
Yes,' said the gentleman, 'I am afraid it is the boy.'

'Afraid!' murmured the crowd. 'That's a good 'un!'

'Poor fellow!' said the gentleman, 'he has hurt himself.'

I don't know if you needed this information or not, but the 64kpb has the same problem.

Hugh,

I looked this up in the database, and it was cataloged in Nov 2006, which is also when the reader for Chapter 10 (forum name LenLen) last posted to the forums. Kara was MC and Stephan BC.

Hope this helps.

You know hugh, if all else fails, I could piece together a sound file for the missing parts out of all the other reading the reader of this section has done.

Bump -- we still need to fix this up somehow!

It's been preyin' on me mind a bit, so ... I've looked everything with 'problemdesk' in the title now. They're all marked clearly Fixed or Resolved. Well, except for a couple of odd ones that are unclear. Anything unmarked needs sorting still.

It takes a l-o-n-g time to find all the right words to piece together. I think it would be better to have someone read it.

If no one has re-read it or what not.... I will volunteer to re-read the chapter(s) that need fixing. I love Oliver Twist. :-)
