Betsy, I think you should give a try of being a DPL, dedicated proof listener. It would be a great learning experience as well as fun. I will put you in as DPL but if you don't wish to do it, just let me know. It is a commitment to proof listen to all the files as they are uploaded and it may take three or more months before they are all claimed and recorded. Also, we may have new recorders being attracted to his project because of the shorter chapters with easier dialog (which is why I post them; to give new readers something easier to practice their recording and editing skills.) :D

Mostly lovely work on this. File meets Checker specs exactly. Just a few correction notes:

--Beginning has no pause. A half a second will do.
--0:19-In the introduction, the author's name "Burgess" mispronounced. The “g” should be as in “giant” not as in “ghost”.
--2:18-"Farmer's boy..." should be "Farmer Brown's boy..."

Hi Phil,
I'm new and waiting for my 1 min test to be reviewed, but I wondered if I could still claim chapters 11-15.
Thanks,
SL

Hot ziggedy dog, you sure can!! Those 5 chapters are your to enjoy. Please wait for your tech specs to be approved (1 minute test) before actually recording.
And ask if anything is confusing.
And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you. This might be what you say at the start "read by ......" so people will be able to find your recordings.

EDIT: I just checked your test and your tech specs are fine and you have the official OK to record lots. Also I must say your voice is really nice and extremely clear. |We need you here!
