Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi Tricia,

There doesn't seem to be anyone stepping up to volunteer as PL. How do we handle this?

When you have a couple chapters up, you can advertise over in the Proof Listeners or Editors Wanted forum for a DPL. There's not a ton of sense in advertising for one when there's no work for them to do. :)

OK. Thanks for the info. I am just editing the first chapter now and will try that after I finish with a second.

Hi Tricia,

I was trying not to bother you but I can not seem to find the MW code to enter into the Listeners Wanted template. I have read the instructions about using the "edit" button in my first project post but see no numbers. Please help!

If you hover your mouse over the "BC Admin" link right under the Magic Window, the following URL will show up as a little pop-up message: https://librivox.org/section_compiler/18241

The MW code is 18241. :)

If you click the edit pencil on your first post then scroll down to where the MW shows up, there will be the same number inside some forum coding:

Code: Select all

[MW]18241[/MW]
That's what the instructions were telling you to look for.

Thanks!

Chapter 2 PL ok.

Chapter 1 only two things!

For the intro the author's name should be left out in the first section.

At 17:26 located in the fifth paragraph from the end of the chapter: "I knew that the police lists "scarcely" .... I hear " scarily"

That's it! Great reading!

I've put mariechristian in as DPL.
For the intro the author's name should be left out in the first section.
Umm, no, it definitely needs to be there. It is after the LV disclaimer, rather than at the very beginning.

Sorry, I didn't explain well. He used the author's name twice in the intro. Once before the disclaimer and once after.
