Random Readings In Racy Rhyme : A Repast For The Recluse, A Refreshment For The Railway Reader, by Charles Harwood Greene

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/random-readings-in-racy-rhyme-a-repast-for-the-recluse-a-refreshment-for-the-railway-reader-by-charles-harwood-greene/
An ecclectic collection of poems by Charles Harwood Greene. A little humor, a little dry wit, and sometimes an unexpected twist. Works include The Railway Solitare, The Lottery Mania, and The Baker's Wife. (Summary by Krista Zaleski)
Source text (please read only from this text!): https://archive.org/details/randomreadingsi00greegoog/mode/2up

Target completion date: 2022-08-31

Prooflistening level: Special
Since this is poetry, please listen for proper rhythm and rhyme, in addition to the usual.
Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Yes, I think this is going to be fun :)
Section 1 is ready for PL.

I think this was written for a different accent than mine. There were a couple of spots that required a serious stretch to try to get a rhyme. If you have better ideas about pronunciation, I'd be happy to hear them.

I thought your accent worked just fine and sounded good to me! Just one small correction for you.

Section 1 Note:
7:44- missing first line on page 14 “I bid him use civility, and not to waste his breath,”

Oopsy, that must have been an over-exuberant cut :)

Section 1 is re-uploaded.
And Section 2 is ready for PL.
