Beyond the Vanishing Point, by Raymond King Cummings (1887 - 1957)

Volunteers outside the USA: Raymond King Cummings died in 1957. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 50 years; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
When George Randolph first caught sight of Orena, he was astounded by its gleaming perfection. Here were hills and valleys, lakes and streams, glowing with the light of the most precious of metals. And, more astonishing than that, it was a world of miniature perfection—an infinitely tiny universe within a golden atom!

But for Randolph it was also a world aglow with danger. Somewhere in its tiny vastness were the friends he had to rescue. Captives of a madman, they had been reduced to native Orena size; to return to Earth they needed the growth capsules Randolph was bringing them. It was up to Randolph to find them—and quickly—for the longer they stayed tiny, the closer they came to passing BEYOND THE VANISHING POINT! (Summary by Raymond King Cummings)

Hi,
I'll MC this for you. I changed the source to the main page of the book so readers have a choice of what file format they want to use.
If I missed something, let me know.
Thanks!

Hi, I'd like to volunteer to read Chapters 1-3, and would gladly read more if that goes well and later chapters haven't yet been assigned. This would be my first project with Librivox. Please advise! Thank you. Best, Marnie (marns007)

Hi and welcome to Librivox!
There are a few things to do before you get started.
If you haven't already, you will need to complete a one minute test - this is to check your specs are up to Librivox standards, and if not, you'll be given hints on how to remedy that. http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test
Please post your test in the Listeners Wanted forum (see the dropdown at the bottom of the page) for the speediest response. Waiting for the OK may seem tedious, but can save time in the long run. Please post the test result here so I know it is done.
Your section, 1, will be held for 1 month pending your test. Please keep in touch if there is a problem.
You will also need to be added to the catalog of readers. I will add you using your forum name, but if you prefer your real name or a pseudonym let me know. We can also link to a personal blog or website. If you click on your name in the Magic Window, you will be taken to your catalog page.Be sure to read the first post - all the info you need is there, but if anything doesn't make sense, just ask. The wiki (see the top of the page) has bundles of info too.

Hello!

If possible I would like to read chapter 2. My one minute test is currently pending, but I could advise you once it has passed review. Please let me know if there are any issues or anything else that would need taken care of.

Edit: my one minute test has been cleared for recording

Many thanks!

Do you need a DPL for this project? If so, I'd like to volunteer.
