The Mary Frances Sewing Book, by Jane Eayre Fryer (1876 - ?)

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-mary-frances-sewing-book-by-jane-eayre-fryer/
This enchanting book was first published in 1913 “for all girls who love to make pretty things”. Meet Tommy Pin Cushion, Mr. Silver Thimble, Ma Chine, and many other delightful characters, along with the mysterious Needle-of-Don’t-Have-to-Try and the magic fairy lady, who truly serve to show that the best way to learn is through fun! Mary Frances, through the witty, jolly help of the Thimble People, learns easy step-to-step projects from basic stitches that gradually introduce simple patterns and projects to make a beautiful vintage wardrobe for a 16 inch doll. OK, your MW is ready to fill in. I've entered the first couple to get you started.

I see this is your first BC project. If you have any questions along the way, just drop me a PM. Looks like a cute little book!

Hi MinnieMaine and a big welcome to LibriVox!

I can pencil you in, but before you record any of them, please record and upload a 1-Minute Test. This is NOT an audition, but a way to check to make sure all your technical settings are correct, your volume loud enough, etc. You will find the information for the 1-Minute Test Recording here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test. The instructions also tell you how to upload your test and then post in the Listeners and Editors Wanted forum so someone can give you feedback on it.

You may like to introduce yourself to the community in the New Here? Introduce Yourself! forum.

How would you like to be credited in our catalog? Under what name? (some use a nickname or their forum name, some their real name - it's all up to you) Along with your credited name, I can also add a link to a personal web site or blog, if you have one.

You're in!
I've added you to the LibriVox catalog and assigned you both sections.
Just click on your name in the Magic Window to view your personal page. This is where you can track all of your LV projects, of which I hope there will be many.

Feel free to ask me if you have questions. Have fun! :D
