This is the 98th edition of Librivox Short Stories. Each story is selected and read by a Librivox volunteer. The French author Guy de Maupassant and the Indian writer Rabindranath Tagore feature strongly in this selection.

Sorry about that! I missed a proper lunch yesterday as my wife was at the Tate Modern Art gallery, so Bonnie my Lurcher, and I had only a few scraps ... but it was also a very wet day so not much of a walk either. You win some and lose some. Even the tennis from Queens was mostly washed out too. So nothing else to do but upload my latest recordings.

Wish we could have rain… 6 days straight and counting over 110 degrees (43+ Celsius) and no rain since early April, I think, and that was just a sprinkling 🥵. The joys of dsert living.
