"Brewster's Millions", by Winchell Smith (1871 - 1933) and Byron Ongley (1876 - 1915)
Monty Brewster has just inherited a million dollars from the grandfather he has never met. The newly acquired wealth staggers young Monty, and he is about to launch into his new life when an attorney in the west advises him that his uncle, George Brewster, has left him seven million dollars, contingent upon his getting rid of the million dollars left him by his grandfather. "He mistreated your mother and father and I do not want you to touch a dollar of his money. If you spend the million left to you by him and can, at the end of a year, show by receipts that you have judiciously spent, not squandered, this million dollars, my attorneys will turn over to you my worldly possessions, aggregating seven millions. You must own nothing of value at the end of the year.”

Can Monty spend a million while getting value for money, and still be left with only the shirt on his back by year’s end?

It’s harder than it looks…

Hi Chris
After a quick scan of the script I can't see any role that stands out for me so perhaps you might like to suggest a role that you think might suit my voice. After all you should know it well enough by now

Hi everyone!

I will set the MW up with all your claims later this morning. (9am Sat in Sydney right now)

Alan, if you would like a recommendation for a role, what about Captain Perry? Don’t worry that you may have to shiver any timbers, Perry is more a Captain Stubing of the Love Boat type.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris
Thanks for the suggestion but I note that Perry is only in one act and I would like a bit more involvement so I will claim Vanderpool.
Always like to be top of the cast list

Hi,
I have an issue accessing the script through google books.
I have already written Chris about it and he is stumped.
When I go to the link it says No Ebook Available, but it seems to work for everyone else.
I’m in South America if that helps.
Could an admin please help?
Thank you!

Welcome aboard as DPL and Editor.

Todd our MC will be along presently to set up your access to the MW. Also, Todd, would you be able to delete the advertisement in the READERS WANTED Forum?

Cheers,
Chris
