The Moon Destroyers by Monroe K. Ruch ( - 0).

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page here:

https://librivox.org/the-moon-destroyers-by-monroe-k-ruch/

The tremendous speed of the dive brought them so close that they could see the skeletons of wrecked ships piled up at the base of the precipice. The moon is not only the most prominent object in our heavens, but also an integral part of the earth. We are, so to speak, an astronomical unit, and we affect each other for better or for worse. We know that the gravitational attraction of the moon causes our tides, and tends to slow up the earth in her daily rotation. It has also been deemed responsible for earthquakes, causing untold suffering among earth's people. Does the moon hold other secrets? ( Author)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/41029
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi Jo,

I shortened the filename since it had included the authors name twice. :D

It now should read:
moondestroyers_01_ruch_128kb

Probably. I couldn't find anything about the author. Do you know is this is a pseudonym?

I checked around the web for a bit and I couldn't find any information on him or any other books that he wrote. :hmm:

Probably because we were both editing at the same time, your changes overwrote mine. No problem, I've fixed it.

Also added Larry as DPL.
