Baseball Joe in the Big League by Lester Chadwick ( - ).
The next volume in the life of (fictional) "Baseball Joe" Matson. Joe is drafted by the St. Louis Nationals in the minor leagues. A more robust summary will be provided prior to project completion. (Summary by Donald Cummings)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/27584
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

DPL for this project is FlatheadFord.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Thanks Bev,

I wanted to get this set up, but it will probably be a couple weeks before my first chapters. I want to work on my other solo (Left to Themselves) which has 2 chapters recorded (in editing), and 4 more to go after that. I'd like to try to finish that one also by year-end which is hopefully doable. Having two different solos running in parallel helps keep my interest in both, as I can switch off when I need a change. :)

All set up and moved to Going Solo. It's been awhile since I set up a project so if anything looks odd or doesn't work, please let me know.
