Here is the project template :)

Under Wellington’s Command by G. A. Henty (1832 - 1902).

Under Wellington's Command is the sequel to With Moore at Corunna. The book picks up where the last book left off when Portugal is freed from the French in 1809. Terence O'Connor is still in command of the Minho regiment of Portuguese, and serves with distinction on detached duty in harassing the French and gaining information. His command being on the edge the allied army, is constantly engaged in skirmishes and in the great battles of the Peninsular War. ( Charles Sapp)

  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Looks great!

I would make one suggestion and it is this: Add 'SOLO' before the heading so that the MC will know this is a solo project.

[SOLO] Under Wellington’s Command by G. A. Henty (1832 - 1902)

You can add a tilde (~) before everything if you need a DPL, but I'll be happy to serve in this role if you would like. If so, there is no need for the tilde and the MC will likely see my offer.

Cool beans!

I would be happy for you to be my DPL. :D I have already recorded the first 3 chapters, and edited the preface.

I'll set this up for you. Template looks good so far.

All set. You can safely delete the whole section on ID tags. They are added automatically at cataloguing, and anything you type in is over-written. The instructions are a throwback to a previous incarnation of our software.

If its OK with you, I will delete the first 4 posts in this thread, so the "first post" is at the top.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Charles, let's start off on the right foot, which, ironically, is the left foot in the U.S. military.

I ran your recording through the Checker, something you might consider doing before uploading, and your volume is just a bit too loud.

(I feel like your upstairs neighbor banging on the floor or the radiator.)

I'll get to the content as soon as I'm done working on another project. (Hope to be done with it tonight.)

Lynnet, the smallest of things ... and not really a problem, but I don't have an active link to this thread from my reader's page.

Should be fixed now. I have a bad habit of making changes/additions and not hitting "submit"

The Preface reading is great, with the exception of the volume, which needs to be brought down just a bit.

How much should I lower the volume?

You're just over the limit. Myself, I'd lower it by 2db (which would place it well alongside Chapter 1.)
