Summa Theologica - 14 Tertia Pars, The Sacraments by Saint Thomas Aquinas (1225 - 1274).
The Summa Theologica (or the Summa Theologiae or simply the Summa, written 1265–1274) is the most famous work of Thomas Aquinas (c. 1225–1274) although it was never finished. It was intended as a manual for beginners and a compilation of all of the main theological teachings of that time. It summarizes the reasoning for almost all points of Christian theology in the West, which, before the Protestant Reformation, subsisted solely in the Roman Catholic Church. The Summa's topics follow a cycle: the existence of God, God's creation, Man, Man's purpose, Christ, the Sacraments, and back to God. (Summary adapted from the Wikipedia)
This selection of the Summa Theologica covers questions 60-90 of the Tertia Pars ("Third Part"), comprising a Treatise on the Sacraments: the sacraments in general (questions 60-65) and in particular (questions 66-90), whether on Baptism (66-71), Confirmation (72), Eucharist (53-83), or Penance (84-90) - at which point Aquinas' composition of the Summa ended abruptly.
Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated). Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!
The reader will record the following at the beginning and end of each file:
No more than 0.5 to 1 second of silence at the beginning of the recording! START of recording (Intro):
"Question [number] [if applicable, "part 1" or "part 2"] of Summa Theologica Tertia Pars - The Sacraments. This is a LibriVox recording. All LibriVox recordings are in the public domain. For more information, or to volunteer, please visit: librivox DOT org"
If you wish, say:
"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Say: "Summa Theologica Tertia Pars - The Sacraments, by Saint Thomas Aquinas. [Question]"
For the second and all subsequent sections, you may optionally use the shortened form of this intro disclaimer:
"Question [number] [if applicable, "part 1" or "part 2"] of Summa Theologica Tertia Pars - The Sacraments by Saint Thomas Aquinas. This LibriVox recording is in the Public Domain."
If you wish, say:
"Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
Only if applicable, say: "[Chapter title]"
END of recording:
At the end of the section, say: "End of [Question]"
If you wish, say: "Recording by [your name], [city, your blog, podcast, web address]"
At the end of the book, say (in addition): "End of Summa Theologica Tertia Pars - The Sacraments, by Saint Thomas Aquinas. "
There should be ~5 seconds silence at the end of the recording.
Example filename summa_theologica3_14_##_aquinas_128kb.mp3 (all lower-case) where ## is the section number (e.g. summa_theologica3_14_01_aquinas_128kb.mp3)
Transfer of files (completed recordings) Please always post in this forum thread when you've sent a file. Also, post the length of the recording (file duration: mm:ss) together with the link.
I made some minor tweaks to the first post to have it line up with the other projects - mainly the intro/outro. (Switching Question for Chapter, etc.) The file name looks to be correct.
Let me know if there are any problems ~ but it looks good to me!
Thank you, Maria: it does not look like I can edit the magic box yet, to name the sections with their question titles, etc, nor am I assigned as the reader.

Thank you, I have thus labeled all of the sections with their question titles. The 40th section is for the moment a "spare" in the event of wanting to break down one of the eight-article questions into two parts.
Forty weeks for forty sections would mean finishing in early July 2020, at a rate of one section per week on average (feasible; if anything I would hope to accelerate that). At any rate, I projected "July 11th" as the finish date, Feast of St Benedict.
The next two weeks of my personal schedule are crammed between university, parish and travel -- not to mention that my first chunk of time will be spent to set up the audio templates for these 31 questions/40 sections, so that the recording and editing proceed smoothly thereafter. So I expect to be on pause over the next couple of weeks, from October 1st to 15th, from St Thérèse of Lisieux to St Teresa of Avila. The following three weeks should be quite active, whereas from mid-November until mid-February less so.
Sounds good! I will be here when you are ready to start!
If you ever need to add an extra section, there is an "Add Section" button at the top left of the MW. You may need to drag and drop it, but you can add as many as you need!
Maria: Teresa of Avila had a great devotion to St Joseph, whose feast day is celebrated today. I am finally posting the first edited recording for this project (after it being set up in October):
