The Golden Maiden and Other Folk Tales and Fairy Stories Told in Armenia by A. G. Seklemian ( - 1920).

All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-golden-maiden-and-other-folk-tales-and-fairy-stories-told-in-armenia-by-a-g-seklemian/
Armenians trace their history back to before the time of the Babylonians and earliest recorded history - in fact, to Togarmah, a grandson of Japhet, Noah's son, who settled in Armenia after the Ark came to rest on mount Ararat. Armenia was also the first State in the world to adopt Christianity as their official religion, around the 3rd Century AD.
This book contains many wonderful folk and fairy tales culled from this long history of the Armenian country people, to whom all nature is full of stories, by the scholar and storyteller Mr. A. G. Seklemian.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Noel,
While AK Seklemian has been deceased for over 70 years, the author of the introduction has not. Would you consider reading this book without the introduction?

Hello Dave,
Thanks for catching that!
It is a pity, but yes I would certainly be willing to read it without the Intro - I assume it is also necessary to create a new "Summary" as I just used quotes from the Intro for the one that is there at the moment.

I'll set this up shortly. Sadly the introduction is not PD for you so a new summary is also needed.

MW up. I left the number of section at 30. After you fill in the titles I will delete the last one if it is not needed. Let me know if any other changes are needed.

Thanks Dave,
I will replace the "Intro" as soon as I have it sorted.
30 sections will be perfect as I will read Mr. Seklemian's little Preface - THE STORY-TELLER TO HIS AUDIENCE as the first or "00" section.
The only other query I have is, The Title is very long, so would it be acceptable to trim it to say "The Golden Maiden and Other Folk Tales by etc..." for the second and subsequent sections?
Regards,
Noel

Noel,
I renumbered the sections so the first section is 00. And yes please use a shortened version of the book title after the first section. What you suggest sounds fine (not saying "etc." of course).
