The memoirs of Chateaubriand continue in Volume 5, with the author, now a grand hommes des lettres, still in the thick of political events, telling his story with his trademark acerbity and melancholy, interspersed with extracts from his voluminous correspondence with the literary, intellectual and political stars of his age. Thanks, David, The first chapter alone has had to be split into 3 parts, so I suspect I may need to go into double digits with the file numbering!

And thank you for your patience! I enjoyed the reading immensely!

I have a couple of PL notes for Part 1:

The intro starts "Chapter 13 ... [disclaimer] Chapter 13 Part 1 (00:23) [text]", in case you'd like to change it to "Book 13".

Around 21:04 in the recording, there's some text missing, here in bold:
"he regulated the internal dispositions of the Conclave in much the same manner as they exist to-day: separate cells, a common room for the balloting, walled-up outer windows, from one of which the election is proclaimed"

At current 23:44, a repetition of "quiere que N. to tenga.", of which the second is the correct one.

Parts 2 and 3 are PL OK!

Hi Nicole! Always a great pleasure to listen to your reading!

Part 1 of book 15 is now PL OK,

one small PL note for Part 2 of book 15: A short repetition at ~48:22 of "the day on which I declared my refusal to take the oath."

Everything else is great! But I was wondering if you would also include the rest of the text until the end of book 15 in this section; I don't think it will take more than an extra 6-7 minutes. Or do you have a different plan
