The Poems of Madison Cawein Vol 5 by Madison Cawein (1865 - 1914).

This project is now complete! All audio files can now be found on the catalog page for this project https://librivox.org/the-poems-of-madison-cawein-vol-5-by-madison-cawein/
This is Volume 5: Poems of Meditation and of Forest and Field of the collected works of Madison Julius Cawein, an American poet from Kentucky. It begins with the long poem Intimations of the Beautiful and falls into three sections: Poems of Meditation, Poems of Forest and Field, an Footpaths. ( Larry Wilson)
    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/58085
    5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Larry -

I'm out of commission for a few days, but will take some of these when I get back. FYI - Volumes 1-4 are also available on Gutenberg. You could just about make a career of these. :D

Yep, they are. I debated about starting with Vol 1, but I thought this would be more accessible to get things started, but I'd love to get them all done in due course.

Take care!

Your MW is set up, you'll have some work to fill all the titles in ;)

Be careful not to use the order of the table of content, because that one is in alphabetical order for some reason, not the correct order the poems come in. :?

Thank your for the MW, Sonia!

So, many interruptions while filling in the MW (but that's life right now).
I little sorting on my spreadsheet got these in order, but then I had to put the articles back to the front of the titles.
I may do word counts, but for now I think we are ready for readers and a good DPL.
Or course, I took my pick of poems first, but there are so many to chooser from --- everything from a Toad in a Skull to Deity.

 quite a range

I just noticed, Section 6 is wrong in the MW, it's a repetition of Section 5.

Otherwise, great job on filling it all in

Will probably choose some later on

wonderful, thank you Jordan. This will be a great collection.

So now we have our DPL, we can probably move to Readers Wanted soon. Let's stay here for a few more hours, so people can see what's new on the market.
