The War of Antichrist with the Church and Christian Civilization by Msgr. George F. Dillon (1836 - 1893).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-war-of-antichrist-with-the-church-and-christian-civilization-by-george-f-dillon/
The War of Anti-Christ with the Church and Christian Civilization is a book written in 1885 by an Irishman, George F. Dillon, DD. It was republished by Fr. Denis Fahey in 1950 as Grand Orient Freemasonry Unmasked as the Secret Power Behind Communism. The central theme of the book alleges that atheistic Illuminism, through the infrastructure of Grand Orient freemasonry, driven by the ideology of the philosophies laid the foundations for a large scale, ongoing war against Christendom in general and Catholic Church in particular. The document claims that this had been manifested primarily through manipulating the outbreak of various radical liberal republican revolutions. Particularly those focused on atheism or religious indifferentism in their anti-Catholicism. The book details revolutionary activity in France, Italy, Germany and Ireland.

Included within the scope of the book is material on the Illuminati, Kabbalism, Jacobinism, the French Revolution, the Carbonari and Fenianism. The Alta Vendita document was given wider exposure in the Anglosphere after being first translated for the book and placed within a historical context. The book was influential to Catholic integralism in Ireland, Britain and the United States, as well as national conservative politics. Fahey who republished the book in the 1950s founded the Maria Duce political movement—critical of Fenianism associating it with Communism, it instead proposed an Irish National Catholicism under the social and spiritual reign of Christ the King. The company who republished it, the Britons Publishing Society, described the book as "of world-wide importance". ( Wikipedia)
    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!

Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.

Hi Geremia,

I'll MC this for you. The MW is up. Since this is your first time BC'ing, I will be sending you instructions via PM on how to access and take care of the MW.

I did change a few things in the first post, such as shortening, the file name, etc. I also removed the hyperlinks from the description, as we have only plain text in our book summaries.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Geremia,

A few small PL notes for Section 15.

@14:48 - there is a small stumble. "of the holy ve...veheme"

At @22:26, @25:59 @ 31:10 there are awkward pauses mid sentence that need to be cut down, especially the last two.

Other than that, good job!
Maria

Thanks for pointing that out! Those silences were awkward.

I've made corrections of all these issues and uploaded it again.

Hello. I had asked to do question 24 and25 but I can not do it now. I have had cracking and popping with my computer that I have struggled with. Its worse now and so unless some one has any bright ideas, I have to give up those sections. I am truly sorry, Clancy

What's your setup? Are you using an external mic?
There are many good equipment recommendations here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/User-Recommended_Equipment
It's where I first heard of the Samson CO1U studio condensers, which I purchased for about $80, in a kit that included a pop filter.
