A Ticket to Adventure, by Roy J. Snell (1878 - 1959)

Volunteers outside the USA: Roy J. Snell died in 1959. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 50 years; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
Starting a new homestead in Alaska is filled with adventures. A stolen herd of Reindeer, a great dogsled race, a strange phantom dog, fun airplane rides into the wilderness and even finding a long lost grandfather. (Summary by Dawn Larsen)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hey Kids, It's been a long time since I recorded. Want to give it a go again. Will probably need help for a few things but I'm pretty ready to go. My goal was to read all the Roy J. Snell adventures for girls. Now I'm ready to start. Dawn

All set up. I don't think much has changed - but just yell if you are stuck with the MW. And we will hang around a bit waiting for a DPL.

Hey there Dawn!!
Your reading will go smoothly once you get back into your groove, so I do not anticipate a mind change from me.
I will bookmark it so I know just where to find it & will check it often to ensure my job as dpl goes well too.

Hello Dawn,
Section 01 was read wonderfully by you. I do have an edit for you though. Background sound is 37.1, preference is closed to 24.2 Please do another round of Noise reduction . After that, please amplify by3.0 as the volume is touch low.
Thank you,
April

Hi April, this time I noise cleaned, amplified and noise cleaned again.
It should be closer to the correct way.
I don't like all the mouth noises. I'm recording with my headset and place the
microphone down at my jawline. It has two layers of foam but I will try
placing it up above my mouth and nose to see what happens. Chapters
3-8 I recorded yesterday but may do them again if changing helps.
Once everything is figured out we can cruise along more easily.
Thanks again, Dawn
