All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/fame-and-fortune-weekly-no-3-corner-in-corn-by-frank-tousey/

Vance Thornton is a young man who works for a Corn Operator in Chicago. He picked up a lot of important skills by watching his boss, and now gets a chance to use them in trying to corner the market.
Along the way, he shows the most important skill for success is his integrity. From this, all other opportunities availed themselves. (Summary by Keith Salis)

Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I popped into the e-text, and it has a different title (A Corner in Corn; or, How a Chicago Boy Did the Trick). You may want to double check your intros/outros and everything else. :)

I've been using Corner in Corn in each intro, with Fame and Fortune Weekly in the first, like the other two. I may be another couple weeks or so before I start posting these, as I'm still finishing my Pocket Handkerchief one.

Okay. :) What I meant is that the info in the first post is all wrong - wrong title. Your PL will get confused. ;)

Signing off - you and your MC can fix it up without me. 8-)

Oh, I hadn't noticed that you weren't Lynnet. We've already done a couple of these and they followed the same format. I think we're good.

I just finished my last project and will be editing chapters for this one. They are all recorded, so hopefully, this will go rather quickly.
Will you be PLing also, like the others?
The one I just finished has 18 chapters, with none PLed.
If you'd like to hear a fun story about 19th century life from the perspective of a pocket handkerchief, feel free to check that one out, too!

For fun, I submitted No 4 to the launchpad.
If I am able, I'll start recording that one.
Gotta have some booth time when I can.

You can put me in as MC… just add lt to the subject line. Haven’t got time to set it up now as I have my water aerobics class, but I can later 8-)

I think something happened when I went to upload Ch 2, and I'd forgotten about it.
Ch 2 and 3 are up now. Hopefully everything is in good order.
