IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi Jarrod,
I'll MC this for you. I'll send you a message with information on being a soloist and accessing and using the magic window.
Cheers,

Dear Rapunzelina,

If alg1001/Amy is alright with that, I would be delighted to have you be the Dedicated Proof Listener! Thank you for volunteering, and I look forward to receiving your comments!

Thank you, both!

I'm looking forward to the story!

Section 1 is PL OK!

I'd like to mention, in case you hadn't noticed, that for the second and subsequent sections you can use the abbreviated disclaimer, especially since the sections are generally short.

You can mark the sections "Ready for PL" in the last ("Status") column of the MW table. I've now marked the first one PL OK!

Dear Rapunzelina,

Thank you so much for the information, and I realized that the abbreviated intro probably would have been a better option. However, since I have done it for the first three, do you think I should continue with the full introduction?

This is my first solo project, so I am still learning. Also, I SO appreciate your kind and encouraging words. If you have any suggestions on how to improve my delivery and reading, please do feel free to pass them along!

With light and gratitude,

Dear Rapunzelina and Alg1001,

Thank you both for your continued patience and aid with this project. As I was recording Section 4, I ran into a wee problem-- the pdf has missing pages! I was able to find a second pdf that had the missing pages, but I was not sure if this is the best thing to do. Here is the PDF: https://web.archive.org/web/20061030044121/http://www.horrormasters.com/Text/a1348.pdf

Anyways, I am using the FIRST PDF for the reading and only referring to the aforementioned link in case there is a mess-up with the scanned pages. If this is not the thing to do, please do let me know how to proceed. Sorry, again, and I appreciate your guidance!

Please enjoy your All Hallows' Eve! :D

With light,

I think it's OK to use the pdf for the missing pages. The rest of the text is identical. Please also wait for confirmation from Amy on the point.

As for the intro, I personally like consistency, but really it's up to you. The options are three and the choice is yours:
- continue with the full intro
- continue with the short intro
- go back to the second and subsequent sections to insert short intro and continue with the short intro.

A good thing about using the full intro is that, if for whatever reason you're unable to continue with the project, it can be turned into a group one, which use the full disclaimer so there'll be consistency.
A good thing about using the short intro is that it's short

Dear Rapunzelina,

Thank you SO much, and you are so right! I will stick to the full intro, and that is good for me to remember in the future. Also, I will wait for feedback from Amy! Have a great evening, and I thank you for PLing!

I agree about using just the missing pages in this situation.

Hi Jarrod, I'm not able to check files right now, but don't let that stop you from uploading more :D Keep going and I'll catch up later.
