The Story of a Woolly Dog is the 12th and last book in the series of Make Believe Stories by Laura Lee Hope. All of the dolls and toys live in the toy section of a big department store, and at night, when no humans are around to hear or see them, they can talk with each other and play to their heart's content. But when morning comes, they must remain silent and still, waiting for that special little girl or boy to go home with. ( Nan Dodge)
Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated). Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Diana, I'm off to a flying start. I had one of those long Librivox-generated passwords, so I changed it to something that I can remember. Now I can't get in as BC to put in the chapter headings. Help!

At around 6:30 I hear "...he hoped to come back with some gold, and he had written some letters..." - text reads "...he hoped to come back with some gold to give his mother, and he had written some letters..." This doesn't cause any confusion about the plot, so no worries.
Chapter 5 - "A Lost Diamond" - PL OK.
If only the Woolly Dog could talk when humans were around. He could tell them where that ring is.
50% complete already.
Chapters 1 and 2 had some very low frequency noise in the recordings - 3, 4, 5 did not. Did you add a filter on the later chapters? The noise is inaudible, of course - down around 10 Hz and below - though I can see it in the Audacity 'Plot Spectrum' display. Again, I can't hear it with my headphones; I'm just curious.
