 now this was confusing. Young Harry Clare also sometimes is called Clare, so I had a hard time figuring out when he is speaking and when Sir Arthur. I think you caught them all correctly, but I'm not 100% sure. :? I guess it makes all sense later on when the play is assembled. Please stay bookmarked to the thread, in case some last minute missed lines pop up

I would mark them PL ok at this point though. Excellently acted out, Sir Arthur likes himself in the role of devious plotters and it's hilarious when he is outwitted in the end.

Thanks

and here is Coreb, at least he was easier to spot in the mess of character names.

Recording time: 2:13 min.

I tried to make him threatening but he ends up a sort of looney-tunes villain who never wins

PL OK. Though I do wonder why Coreb is here - the glimpse of the rest of the plot I saw in setting up the play seems not to depend upon him/her.

Thanks, Todd

Yes, I initially did some of the extra Clare lines, but found I was talking about myself and realised that the scene was Henry's not Arthur's. Most of Henry's lines are with characters of his age/generation.

yes I noticed that as well along the way, it was still difficult to figure it out, since I didn't know the text in detail yet.

 those two are really very different in voice and character. Well done, Jim, thank you so much. Raph is such a down-to-earth peasant while the friar is clearly more sophisticated and stiff-upper-lip. Highly enjoyable, both of them.

Raph already PL ok.

One sentence missing for the Friar:

> at about 2:08: please add: "Young Benedic, were you ere sent by me / To Chesson Nunnery for a visitor?"

thanks

Here are the three acts of Sir John, a Priest:

Act 2 -
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/merrydevilofedmonton_sirjohn_2.mp3

Act 4 -
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/merrydevilofedmonton_sirjohn_4.mp3

Act 5 -
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/merrydevilofedmonton_sirjohn_5.mp3

Take care,

Greg

NOTE FOR PROOF LISTENER - In Act Four, Scene Two (near the beginning of the scene) there are three consecutive lines, all attributed to the PRIEST. I believe the second line should be for the SEXTON. The scene makes no sense if the PRIEST reads all three. I only recorded those that I believe belong to the PRIEST. If I am mistaken please let me know and I will record the missing line.
