WiltedScribe wrote: February 26th, 2022, 1:08 amI realized that Civet does have a couple lines at the end of Act 5 which wasn't listed in the MW, so I guess it's up to Todd if he will keep me as the Ruffian. The Ruffian's lines are sufficiently far enough from Civet's, though, and I do give him a different voice, so I don't think there'll be cause for mix-up (especially since the Ruffian's role is very small).
ok I let Todd decide this, but I already PLed them all and they are all PL ok. Civet is so enthusiastic about his wife, I fear he'll be made a fool of by her quite soon. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer I fear. Well conveyed, Thomas. And of course I like the ruffian and soldier, with their northern accent :9:

thanks

Does look like the Ruffian and Civet's lines are well enough spaced out to avoid confusing a listener.

Sorry I missed the lines in Act 5 when setting up the MW.

Thanks, Todd

Anyhow, here's Act 5, ready for spot PL. It should be better. :D

thanks, excellently acted out now and PL ok :)

Checker gives me a warning of background noise, but no need to reupload, I think it's fine still. And I'll make a note for Todd in the MW.

Sonia
Thanks, Sonia.
It's always difficult to tell whether there is any background noise or not in the recording (probably because I can still hear the background noise outside the recording.) :D

thank you, Rick, another great performance. The father is more and more appalled by his son's doings  fittingly acted out.

I'll mark Acts 1, 2 and 4 straight PL ok.

For act 3 I have a few small notes:

> for the voice credit, could you please say "Mister" instead of simply "M." ? It sounds a bit strange and it's not meant to be his first name initial. you can put it in Act 3, so you don't have to reupload Act 1, which had no other errors. I'll make a note for Todd in the MW

> at 3:18: stumble: "upon my life he will forswear the debt" – I hear "sup-" before "forswear", could be cut out

> from 6:03 to 6:07: between "roses of her cheeks" and "lady take comfort" – you can cut the long pause, since it's the same speech chunk

> at 6:29: "where no help can be had" – you forgot "where"

thanks

Hi, Sonia,

Thanks for the very careful proof listening, and the nice comments! I've corrected Act 3 and recorded Act 5. The re-record of the voice credit is added at the end of the Act 3 recording.

I'm afraid Mister Flowerdale is more persuaded than I am that his son is instantly reformed.

ah ok, I'll make a note for Todd to look at the end. Usually we put it at the beginning, but this is fine too. Both acts now PL ok.

Aww he sounds so enthusiastically relieved in his final words. you're right....I doubt he will have changed much, but everybody is giving him money in the end  they beg to be duped

Thank you Rick ! Hopefully I hear you in another play soon.

I would love to participate in this. I'm wondering if I could perhaps have both the Drawer of Act 1 and the Citizen of Act 5. Far enough apart that I don't think they'd risk being confused. If not, either is fine with me.

 nothing wrong, everything as it should be. I knew you would be perfect in our drama group  I so hope you liked it too and that we can hear you in many more plays.

I was thrilled to hear the more "cockney style" drawer, I was hoping you would go for such an accent. Both roles perfectly PL ok.

Thank you
