Sorry for the delay, but just as I sat down last night to do it, we got a phone call and had to leave, but here it is, finally.jennlea wrote: ↑October 13th, 2021, 3:54 pmThat would be great and totally A-OK! Thank youKalamareader wrote: ↑October 13th, 2021, 3:32 pm

Very well done, and very well edited. But..... I found one very small error:
26:54 Without Eccles, it will be necessary to establish a proper chaperonage. Jenn said Chaperone. There is a subtle difference. A Chaperone is the person, and Chaperonage is the situation where a Chaperone is. So in this case it is setting it up so that a Chaperone will be present. Of course, your call.
Other than that, well done.

PL Notes for Fardy in Hyacinth Halvy
1:49 missing line
The sergeant thought them to be great. Sure he has the samples of them in his pocket. There's not one in the town but will know before morning that you are the next thing to an earthly saint.
2:35
Repeat of 'if it is to steal a sheep you want..........'
Please remove the first one of these
7:02 The line should be
He'll be coming here'
7:09 missing line
From that young chap came to-day, Mr. Halvey.
7:58 The line should be
I'll get no more chance in the world
There are also a number of technical issues that need editing please.
The bit rate should be 128 kbps. When you export the file change ‘quality’ to 128kbps.
The recording should use a constant bit rate. When you export the file change ‘bit rate mode’ to ‘constant’
The recording should be in mono not stereo
The sampling rate should be 44.1 kHz (44,100 Hz).
The volume is 94dB, which is too high. We aim for between 86 - 92dB, but ideally we would like it to be at 89 dB.
In Audacity you will also find the option to amplify under 'effects'.
How to amplify in Audacity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_z607awyLw
If you like, you can use the checker tool to verify volume and other settings https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/
There is some background noise which detracts from the reading and should be removed please. To do this in Audacity.
Step 1 - Select a piece of background noise
Select a piece of background noise (no speech, breaths or other noises) in your audio.
In Menu click: Effect > Noise Reduction... A dialog will pop up.
Click "Get Noise Profile" The dialog box will close instantly.
Step 2 - Noise Reduction
Press CTRL-A / Command-A to select your complete recording.
In Menu click: Effect > Noise Reduction... again. Note: don't select "Repeat Noise Reduction" -- that instantly applies the default settings; you want to adjust the settings and preview the results before you apply the noise filters.
Set Noise Reduction (dB) to 12
Set sensitivity to 6.00
Set frequency smoothing bands to 3
Choose Noise: Reduce
Click ok
Please could you carry out the edits then upload the file using the same file name and post in this thread. If you need any more help please just ask. Thanks
