alanmapstone wrote: June 18th, 2021, 6:06 amYou are right. I have somehow got hold of a different translation. I can only think that the first post had a different link when first posted and that Todd later changed it.
So ignore that file and I will do it again but not until next week. Just as well there is not too much of it :hmm:
sorry about that :( Maybe some sentences can still be used, but judging from the first page, it was a different version indeed.

Todd: is this archive text the correct version you want to use ?

The first link I put in was to an entirely different play (another one that I had prep'd and ready to go). I changed it at the end of May to the link to this play - the one I used when I made up the MW sections.

The link I'd like to use is the one in the first posting. But as only one part is in, I'll consider looking at a different one if offered very very quickly!

Thanks, Todd

This is the link to the text I was reading from:

https://archive.org/details/greatgaleotodram00eche/page/81/mode/1up

I think it must have been posted in the project thread at some point as I would not have got it from anywhere else :?

I don't mind rerecording my part as it is only one act and quite short.

It is by a different translator - who died in 1973. So your version would not be PD for death + 50 year countries.

Stick with the version I already was using.

Todd,

I just recorded the Prologue for Don Julian and then realized there is no Prologue in the MW. Did I miss something? Am I, perhaps, to combine the Prologue with Act One?

Thanks!

Yes, just combine prologue with the Act 1 file.

Just a thought, this also impacts impacts the parts of Ernest and Teodora. If they are not already aware, perhaps the readers of these parts should be told that they also should combine their lines from the Prologue with that of Act One.

Take care,

Greg

Hi, here are my recordings.

I was of the understanding that we are using Wendy’s script link, which is what I’ve worked from. But I’m a little nervous that I may have used the wrong script! If I’ve used the wrong one, please send me the correct link and I will record them again. Thank you.

As described earlier, the link in the first posting is (since fixed 31 May) correct. Wendy's and Alan's link is not PD for countries using death + 50 year so I am not using that one.

Thanks, Todd

no, I am sorry Lindsay, but the correct link is the one in the first post: https://archive.org/details/greatgaleotofoll00eche/page/n41/mode/2up and the deviations are considerable, so I am afraid but you have to re-record the part :(

I started listening and can tell you in addition, that for the voice credit, we always want the full description, as written in the MW, so here: "Teodora, Wife of Don Julian, read by...."

Thank you

Sonia

Oops, I didn't realise that there was a second page to the thread where you explained this. Thanks for clarifying. I'll record them again using the script in the description.
