Achilles act 3 with added final speech

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/iphigenia_achilles_3.mp3

I notice that the translator finishes with a rhyming couplet as was traditional in blank verse drama :)

I also noticed that he makes some lines rhyme, and I actually love that. Didn't know it was a tradition though.

Achilles now PL ok, thanks !

Normally blank verse does not rhyme but rhyming couples are used at the end of scenes or speeches to give a sense of closure.

YES YES YES ! give it to him good   I loved Achilles' outburst and disdain for Agamemnon here. (poor Greg...he gets insults and insubordination from every side here. I know why Todd didn't want the part  )

Very well done to get worked up so much here, Alan. Excellent performance. Loved it.

And PL ok, thanks

I definitely would not have wanted to be old Aggie "IRL," if Greek heroes could ever be 😀!

I was trying to suggest suppressed anger, if I get really angry I shout too much and it overloads the mic

Misunderstood orphaned lovelorn enslaved evil teen Eriphyle Acts 3 (1:15) & 4 (4:27), hopefully with correct slate this time.

May I claim Doris?

(I am sure the names are all actually place- and period-authentic, but somehow having a Doris in there with Clytemnaestra, Iphigenia, Erpihyle, and Aegina feels incongruous, rather as though a cast list should include Dulcinea, Florimel, Araminta, and Jane...)
Back from a low-internet no-Librivox year in Georgia. Glad to be with you again.

A name like Doris probably means she is exotic....

Thanks, Todd
