Iphigenia, by Jean Racine (1639 - 1699), translated by Robert Bruce Boswell (1864 - 1933)
Racine's version of the time-honored story of Iphigenis was acted for the first time in 1674. The model upon which it is shaped is the "Iphigenia in Aulis" of his favorite Euripides, but the Freanch poet has heightened the romanitic interest and complicated the plot by the important part which Eriphyle is made to play.
(Summary by Introduction)
This project is complete. Audio files can be found in our catalog page at https://librivox.org/iphigenia-by-jean-racine/

Here we go, more tragedy by Racine. This time from the start of the Trojan War. I just read Iphigenia's story as part of the feminist version of the war in "A Thousand Ships" by Natalie Haynes and I was appalled. This version is slightly different but still high on violence and tragedy.

Kitty will play Clytaemnestra between doing her wonderful DPL, and I suggest you be Very Very Very Very nice to her....

Gender neutral casting, of course.

 I told him Clytemnestra would kill her husband later on, guess that did the trick ;) Luckily, Greg decided to be courageous enough to step in (or rather foolhardy...)

I confirm my claim for Clytemnestra and DPL.

Achilles act 1

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/iphigenia_achilles_1.mp3

The idea of me playing a superhero would only be possible in an audio version. It reminds me of a joke in Woody Allen's movie Radio Days where the actor who plays the superhero in a popular radio drama is actually 5 foot 2 with a bald head and glasses

Thank you. And only in audio could I play a villain since I look more like a tall dwarf or a squashmellow.
