Hi, Michelle.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to notice a small discrepancy between your file names and the information on the first post. This is new to me so I'm not sure.

Filename:
For individual roles: studyscarlet_role_#_##.mp3 where # is the part number and ## is the chapter number. (e.g. studyscarlet_narrator_1_01.mp3)
For final files: studyscarlet_#_##_doyle_128kb.mp3 where # is the part number and ## is the chapter number. (e.g. studyscarlet_1_01_doyle_128kb.mp3)

Thank you!

Hi thank you for that. It shouldn't matter at this stage as the files will be edited into a final file at the end. But for all the future ones I will name them as stated. Of course if there are any edits to make I can change it then.

That's a lovely rendering of Little Lucy, Annie!`

There are just a couple of PL notes on the adjustments needed:

* The voice credit for your character goes on the first file only. It should be edited in the other three.

_2_01 (missing words) ~2:53 I hear "He made the country down Illinois, and He made Missouri."
The text goes "He made the country down in Illinois, and He made the Missouri". (Word-perfect proof-listening has been required for this project)

_2_03 (missing line at the bottom of page 8)
After the previous line ending"...Oh, father, father, what shall we do?", the line " When he comes (... )always happens to them." should be included.

I'd like to try my hand at something a little more challenging:

John Ferrier: Part 2, chapters 1, 3, and 4 (sections 41, 42, and 43)

I realize there's some overlap with Enoch Drebber in Section 43. That will mean being able to differentiate the voices. There's at least one point where one speaks right after the other, without attribution, and the listener needs to be able to immediately recognize who's who. I think I can do that, but I'll need to work on it a bit first. Subject to editorial approval as always, of course.

Thank you for being so interested in this project, Tad! Nonetheless, I am not willing to have people double up on roles for this project. I hope that doesn't disappoint you too much. I encourage you to sign up for a role in one of our other DRs; there are lots to choose from and plenty of parts available. If you'd like to participate in another murder mystery, you may wish to consider The Mystery of a Hansom Cab: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=85890

Here are the last two sections for Holmes:

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/studyscarlet_holmes_2_06.mp3
(0:42)

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/studyscarlet_holmes_2_07.mp3
(11.18)

Near the end of the last chapter, I've given two versions of his line here, one that starts with his laugh:
SHERLOCK HOLMES: “Didn’t I tell you so when we started?”

DR. WATSON: cried Sherlock Holmes with a laugh.
