May I read Cyrus Martin? I always wanted a good clean role.

Thanks, Todd

ok Chris I will make your day and claim the DPL role in this play.

I just recorded the countess and she was a hoot (albeit challenging to switch to all the languages). I notice that I have no trouble with French, German or English, but I had trouble with putting on a French accent when she speaks English  how confusing. But fun. She definitely reminded me of Miss Colgate in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

Editing will take some more time though.

et voilà la comtesse, I hope this is what you hoped you'd get, kid ;)

So since I'm DPL, someone has to PL my lines.

Hi Chris,

I absolutely wanted to listen to the Countess anyway, so I just told Sonia I'd PL it and listened to it right away. It's wonderful, the role is so great, I love it and had to laugh out loud more than once. Delightful performance! Oh, and it's PL ok.

I had a listen too, and this is definitely Champagne Comedy!

The Comtesse sure is a force-of-nature, and it was so much fun when she broke character and spoke in English.

And I think I can guess at least three of the occasions upon which you burst out laughing, Sandra, right at the ends of each of her acts' speaking. She definitely knows how to make an exit each time!

Thanks,
Chris

thank you, Tally, lovely portrayal, Miss Burke is "duty itself", no-nonsense. I like it. And all PL ok.

Chris, I just now realized that the character additions in the MW are not in the cast list of the play, so I guess we don't have to include them. Did you invent those ? Usually we include only those parts in the MW which need to be spoken in the voice credit, so this had me confused now. So I didn't have to read this "mystery woman" part either  Well, it can be cut out in the editing phase or do you prefer me to reupload ?

Also will you switch the PL ok sections to the correct acts already ? That way the MW looks neater for me to handle. One can also better assess right away which sections are still open if they are on top of the list. Or is there a reason why you prefer to keep them in this order ?

Yes, I added the descriptions ... I'm the advertising guy in this play, remember. I thought the bare character names needed some sort of descriptors for casting

yes it's a good move, it could have been done in a first post (they often do that in DR projects for example) instead of in the MW though so that the readers (and the DPL) wouldn't be confused what to read for the voice credit. Because we'll keep the dramatis personae without your additions in the final product ;)

Johnson act 1

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/itpaystoadvertise_johnson_1.mp3

I have given him an English accent as it was fashionable for New York families to have an "English" butler, even a phony one
