Welcome to the cast! and welcome to Librivox!SomethingClever wrote: ↑March 24th, 2021, 11:24 am I'd like to claim the role of Don Antonio in acts I and III but I this would be the first time I've recorded anything for the dramatic works section and I'm not entirely sure how to go about recording my lines. Just so I don't record it in some horribly malformed way, should I be recording all of the lines for both acts in a single file each and send those off as nobleheart_antonio_1.mp3 and nobleheart_antonio_3.mp3?
You'll record the lines for Act 1 and Act III as two separate files. Begin the file by saying "Don Antonio read by SomethingClever (or however you want to be credited.)" Leave a 3-5 seconds of silence in between all your lines and at the end of the file. Also if there are stage directions in the middle of you lines, pause and leave a few seconds of silence. (This makes it easier for me to edit the lines together later.)
Don't read the stage directions. Someone else will be doing that.
Name the file "nobleheart_antonio_1" or "nobleheart_antonio_3". When you export it in Audacity, the program will add the .mp3 part
Mary Ann Speigle is our MA. Upload your files to her folder when you complete them.
Good luck!
