I am missing some lines after the cast list on Page 2. Please read from "Act I. The Work Room ..." to "...Place: a Small City in the Middle West". Separate file please - I have your original file in the master for the act already.TrLove wrote: ↑April 14th, 2021, 2:33 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/civilservice_stagedirection_01_128kb.mp3

I read the "Characters" (adding "read by") leaving space for their names. As per notes, I also included the "Costumes and Characteristics" page, but as a single thread. Let me know if this was your vision.

Thanks, Todd
Missing line, not picked up in PL:Shawn510 wrote: ↑February 20th, 2021, 9:45 pm Here is my act 1:

Thanks!
On page 10: Reynolds (outside R). "Steve, Steve, where in thunder is that circular of instructions? Peavy, come here. I want you."
Separate file please - I have your original file in the master for the act already.

Two missing lines on page 14 - maybe cut out when making previous fixes and not heard in the spot PL.adrianstephens wrote: ↑March 3rd, 2021, 12:58 amUggg. That was a lot of errors. Sorry about that. Here's the correction (with new timings):
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/civilservice_steveaudaine_1_128kb.mp3
0:55 MISSING LINE at about 0:54 (p.9):
STEVE (takes parcel from pocket). It isn't much. (Hands it to her.) I hope you'll wear it at your birthday party tonight.
3:29 MISSING LINE at about 3:16 (p. 13):
STEVE. I don't know what you're talking about.
5:07 EXTRA LINE at 4:51-4:55 (p. 14) -- you have recorded part of a line that belongs to Peavy:
It's just my little joking way. Can't you take a joke? (So please cut that section out).
5:10 MISSING LINE at 4:58 (p. 14):
STEVE. Well, don't joke about me. I'm not in the mood for jokes.
5:35 REPEATED LINE at 5:21 (p. 15):
STEVE. He's just driving in. (I think you meant to cut the first one out 5:21-5:24)
6:56 line replaced EXTRA WORDS at 6:44 (p. 20):
STEVE. I'll make a payment on the first of the month. Miss G. (cut out "Miss G." - that belongs to the next line).
10:11 MISSING LINE at 9:58 (p. 27):
STEVE. (startled). What is it? What do you want?
"Yes, I should think she would."
"I'll be there"
Separate file please - I have your original file in the master for the act already.
Thanks, Todd
Thank you, Adrian. Extra Steve lines sent by PM are PL OK.

I have Act 3 recorded and hope to have it edited within the next day or two.
Take care,
Greg
I found some tiny deviations from the script -- I'll leave it to you and Todd to decide how important they are:
2:03 The line reads: "Did you mail the letter on the street?" - I hear "Did you mail the letter on the streets?"
2:32 Mr. Audaine? - I hear "Mr. ANdaine?" (After this one line, you say his name properly many times - Mr. Audaine).
4:24 "I don't think we'll have time for lunch, Reynolds. I guess you and I'll be pretty busy this afternoon." The first sentence ends with "Reynolds" -- it sounds like you put "Reynolds" at the beginning of the second sentence.
9:20 "I guess we won't take a holiday today." -- I hear "don't"
12:20 "We know you did." -- I hear "You know you did."
Thanks,
TJ
Nice, Greg! What an emotional scene when he asks Kate to marry him. Well done! Just one teensy tiny note:GregGiordano wrote: ↑May 24th, 2021, 6:10 pm Here is Act Three for The Inspector:

Yes, those two lines were included in the original version -- Adrian must have accidentally cut them out of his revised version. I have uploaded those two lines for you:
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/civilservice_steveaudaine_1_missinglines.mp3
Just for clarification: When I "spot PL", I am only supposed to listen to the spots in which there was a mistake, correct? Or do I need to listen to the whole file again to see if there are any new mistakes?
I've made a draft of Act 1.
Not ready for PL yet: Couple missing lines still, but looks like it'll just be the right size (71 minutes now versus our 74 minute limit).
Next, I'll listen to it - my first chance to hear ye'all - and adjust all the volumes and gaps.
Thanks, Todd

NO NO NO. You don't have to listen to anything but the spot where you identified errors. Unless the reader specifically tells you that they changed something else other than what you listed for them - and tells you where. (Woe to them if they make major unrequested changes, or even worse re-records the whole thing.)benderca wrote: ↑June 2nd, 2021, 11:12 am

Here in a drama - compared with books or story projects - there are two extra chances to catch things: my assembly and edit, and then your final PL of the assembled play.
Thank you for being DPL! It is the hardest job I know of here at Librivox and should pay at least twice (maybe thrice!) what the rest of us get.
Thanks, Todd
