I love your country girl accent, Jenn!

Birdie, Act 3, is PL OK!

I have one minor suggestion for Birdie, Act 2. Your pronunciation of "rural" sounds like "rule" and it might be confusing since you say it twice. It should be two syllables "rur-ral":
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/rural

1:38 He's a rural free deliverer, ain't he?
1:45 Does a rural free deliverer make enough money to git married on?

I'll let Todd decide if this is important enough to merit your attention. :D

Thanks,
TJ

Uggg. That was a lot of errors. Sorry about that. Here's the correction (with new timings):

Thank you, TJ, for not falling on the floor laughing - or at least not doing it in public :)
Thanks, Adrian! Steve Acts 1 & 3 are now PL OK! No laughing here (although I did laugh when I read your comment above... ).

Thanks,
TJ

I’m laughing because my husband makes fun of the way I say “rural”!

I’ll be happy to fix it once I’m back in front of the mic :)

Tell me, Jenn, are you an urban girl?
You sure play a right fine rural girl - you’ve made me reexamine my portrayal of Mrs. Jeffs - I think I’ve played her a bit too... urban.

I am

And "rural" caused quite a lengthy conversation in my family after this. I questioned both my parents (one who has a southern accent) on how they pronounce that word. One says it with 2 syllables and the other with 1 syllable. We literally talked about that darn word for ages and had the most amusing time trying to get 2 syllables for it out of my mouth

That is soooo funny! I'd never heard your pronunciation of "rural" before. I think I've heard one syllable, sort of like "rirl" (like "girl") before, but not "rule" as you say it. But I'm respectful of dialects, so before I mentioned it to you, I even looked it up online and I could not find one single support for your pronunciation. All the dictionaries offer the 2-syllable version, such as the Cambridge link I gave you (https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/rural). Also, there are speech and English instructors who offer entire videos on this one word, such as:

How To Pronounce RURAL like an American - English Pronunciation - Can you say "RURAL"?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8FuAmyU38s
and
How to Pronounce Rural
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lLSeJlbQ60
and
How to Pronounce Rural, Plural, Cultural, Natural
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCeoQM-29yA

So, you see, I did not mean to be disrespectful of your dialect (and Todd's) -- just wanted to avoid confusion. Most folks will think Goldie is rule-free guy, which is probably the case!

Oh trust me I’m not offended whatsoever! My dad played one of those videos you posted over the phone to help me out and told me to practice 😂😂

I like him too! He's a guy who knows what he wants, and then gets it (while still remaining likable). And you portray him wonderfully. I have a few notes, none of which are ground-breaking, but I'll list them and let you and Todd decide:

@ about 0:19: The line reads, "Gee, ten minutes more to wait. I'm so hungry that I could eat a crowbar, if it was fried in butter."

You say "...if it was fried in batter." I think that "batter" sounds better than "butter" if you're gonna eat a crowbar, but I'll throw the ball into Todd's court and let him decide.

@ about 1:31, it sounds like you are missing a word: "...I got the old flag up at half-mast,..." It sounds like either "at" or "half" is missing, I couldn't tell which word you said and which one you left out.

@6:23 Here's a funny one: The line reads: "More'n likely that old inspector'll make me scrub out the whole darned postoffice."
You say: "...the whole damn postoffice."
I'll let Todd decide how family friendly we are intending to be.

Nice acting, as always, Alan!

"Batter" is fine.

I think it should be "darned" cuz we're trying to give a wholesome family friendly feel to all these too-good-to-be-true characters.

Thanks, Todd
