Thanks, Sirena!SirenaRose wrote: ↑March 14th, 2021, 2:37 pm I saw that you recently reopened the part of Miss Baedeker. Is she still available?
Thanks, Diana, but Sirena had already requested the part a day before you -- I just hadn't updated the Magic Window yet. If you're interested, I'll give you the remaining bit parts. (I'd like "Man 2" to have a slightly lower pitch). Let me know if you're interested please.
I'm glad you're having fun, David -- I am too. I have to say I'm enjoying the book so much more this time around. As a teenager, I found it quite boring. Now I find it full of symbolism, social critique, and intrigue...Salvationist wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 3:41 pm Here's the conductor:

It was fun to record some minor characters for this project. I think this is the first time I'm participating in a recording of a work I had previously read.
I would be interested, but I am reading the book and having a terrible time finding the characters' lines. I found one for the elevator boy, and stopped at the end of chapter 3.benderca wrote: ↑March 15th, 2021, 6:13 pmThanks, Diana, but Sirena had already requested the part a day before you -- I just hadn't updated the Magic Window yet. Oh no... you've given yourself an impossible task (especially because I just named some of these characters myself ). The good news is that I've already done all that work for you and created color-coded scripts. They're linked to the magic window. Scroll down to Section 22 in the Magic Window (on page 1 of this project) and you will see the Chapter Sections. Then in the "Notes" column, you can click the chapter name and you will be transferred to my scripts (For example, Chapter 1 can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1M5niKpFP4HKoQsFxyiwTSWKUYeLsRkgu/view?usp=sharing ).dianahkennedy wrote: ↑March 16th, 2021, 1:53 pmI would be interested, but I am reading the book and having a terrible time finding the characters' lines. You can download the scripts from my Google Drive or just read them online.
There are only a few lines left for you in this project, but I've got many more projects scripted and ready to go, so if you enjoy dramatic readings, there'll be lots of opportunities to shine.
Thanks,
TJ
Found them! I will start recordings later today. Thank you! dkdianahkennedy wrote: ↑March 16th, 2021, 7:24 pmD’oh! Thanks, Matea! You've really captured the essence of Myrtle Wilson's character -- Brava! I laughed out loud at some of your lines:EltonTheSnowman wrote: ↑February 21st, 2021, 6:47 am Myrtle Wilson ready for PL:

There's a short line on page 15 of Chapter 2 which was marked as Myrtle, but I think it should be read by Nick (She looked around to see who was listening.), so I didn't record it. There's a missing quotation mark in that spot which probably caused the confusion.
