Nice reading, Weston! We have to make sure to get you a larger role in our next project -- I love your voice! And great catch with my color coding mistake on page 16 -- I've updated the script (NOTE to Tomas!).

Gatsby's Butler Chapter 3 is PL OK!

(One little note: you don't need the brackets in the file name -- in the future, the file should just be called greatgatsby_gatsbysbutler_3_128kb.mp3 . You don't have to change anything for this chapter, as I've already downloaded the file and linked it to the magic window as is, but it can cause problems, so in the future... ).

Thanks, Weston!

Here's the reporter:

I had fun breaking out the New Yorker accent I worked on in "Miss Buzby's Boarders".

May I also read the conductor?

Here's Woman 1:

Chapter 3: Includes background laughter, a laugh at the orchestra leader, a short conversation with Woman 2, and the group “Ah-h-h!”
https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/greatgatsby_woman1_3_128kb.mp3

Chapter 4: “He’s a bootlegger”
https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/greatgatsby_woman1_4_128kb.mp3

Chapter 7: “Oh, my!” and several “Yea-ea-ea!”s
https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/greatgatsby_woman1_7_128kb.mp3

If you need me to make any changes, let me know. The laughter and cheering were challenging but in a good way. I am so excited to see how the whole thing comes together!

Oooh, I can't wait to listen to it. I haven't listened to Miss Buzby yet... oops, need to do that! But I'm definitely a fan of your Scottish accent!

Thanks, Chuck! Mr. McKee is now PL OK!

I can't wait to edit this scene. The final scene in this chapter with Nick and Mr. McKee is one of the most controversial, debated scenes in Gatsby. I'm thinking of using echos and fades for Nick's either lack of memory or unwillingness to share his memories...

I'm going to open up the parts of Catherine, Miss Baedeker, & Man 2/Elevator Boy/Waiter/Doctor Civetas, as the readers haven't logged in to Librivox in over 2 months.

Everyone else got a courtesy 2-month extension. I'm looking forward to hearing your parts. :D

The Police Officers are PL OK!

I love how you give each of them a different personality. Nice!

One note: in a dramatic piece, you should always leave 2-3 seconds' pause in between every line so that the editor can easily cut and paste. You don't need to change anything here, though; just a note for future contributions.

Thanks, Kyle!

Hello,

Is Catherine still available? If so, I would love to claim the role.

Thanks,
Kim
