Yes. the echo seems to be from me not being quite close enough to the microphone, plus the size of the room i am in with no soft surfaces. May build a sound box for the future.ktaylor07 wrote: ↑January 9th, 2021, 9:28 amStill searching for a DPL, so temporarily filling in that spot myself.cavaet wrote: ↑January 1st, 2021, 9:54 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/londonassuarance_charlescourtly_1_128kb.mp3

Much better sound quality -- but still a little echo-y. The interpretation of the lines is just right -- very spirited and carefree! Perfect start to the role!
That could make for some dramatic decor for the living room!cavaet wrote: ↑January 9th, 2021, 11:02 amYes. the echo seems to be from me not being quite close enough to the microphone, plus the size of the room i am in with no soft surfaces. May I claim one of more ambitious roles left in the cast? Martin, please.
Thanks,

More time to set it up than it took to do the lines.

I think not! More likely, a microphone, in a cardboard box in a backroom.ktaylor07 wrote: ↑January 9th, 2021, 12:56 pmThat could make for some dramatic decor for the living room!
Well, you know what we say here at Librivox -- There are no small roles, just some really itsy-bitsy, teeny-tiny files....Kalamareader wrote: ↑January 9th, 2021, 5:42 pmHere is Martin: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/londonassurance_martin_1_128kb.mp3ktaylor07 wrote: ↑January 8th, 2021, 4:49 pmOf course! Thanks for getting this done so quickly!
I dunno... You're passing up a chance to set up something with a framework of pvc pipes, velvet curtains, an armchair, and computer table that would really puzzle the hell out of your neighbors... But if you're attached to having people thinking you're sane, that's up to you, of course...

And then there is me who does it in a fairly large family room with nine foot plus ceilings (the only thing soft is the carpet) on a computer hutch made out of wood into a $19.95 mic.ktaylor07 wrote: ↑January 9th, 2021, 6:40 pmI dunno...
