Here y'all are! The files for Miss Millie Buckley!
wohooo, cool performance, Annie !!! And I love the Texan drawl you do (at least to my untuned ear it sounds very southern). The first act was simply huge  but awesomely done and nothing missing at all, as far as I can tell. Perfectly PL ok.

Thanks

Sonia

Yay!!! I'm so happy! I was worried about having to try and work on Act 1!

Hehe! I'm glad you liked it! I just tried to mimic what I had heard on TV... As an Aussie girl, I relied on "Hart of Dixie" for my accent... Even if that was based in Alabama...

Hello,

Here is Freeda:
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/lightnin_freeda_1_128kb.mp3

It's 24 seconds.

I went through the text several times but could only find three lines for her, so if I'm missing any apologies, please let me know and I'll do them.

Accents aren't my strong suit, but I enjoyed these lines!

Thanks, Lauren :D

I also had my eyes peeled throughout the act, but indeed, I think you caught them all. Well...a short role, but every voice counts and you definitely took out the most of your lines. The doubt you put in your voice in the final sentence is quite well done according to stage directions. I enjoyed it.

PL ok :) hope to hear you in another play soon

Thank you

Sonia

Howdy Folks,

If'n y'all don't mind, I reckon I'll take the part of Rodney Harper.

Regards,
Steve

thank you Diane, a wonderful Texan drawl you managed here (at least what I think is a Texan drawl  ) really enjoyed the performance.

Both acts PL ok.

I will put the second file into the correct Act 3 though. After spending half an hour peeling my eyes off while rummaging twice through act 2, thinking I'd totally lost it, I finally caved and checked the whole of act 3 only to find it was this act she appeared in. :? The script is quite hard on my eyes to check. I much prefer archive over hathitrust. This gave me a headache now and I need to rest my eyes before tackling the longer Marvin speeches. Patience please. Tomorrow I'll give it another go.

Thanks

Sonia

John Marvin, requestin' yer permission to approach the bench:
phew that was a huge role and you played it so perfectly well, thank you so much. John is such a cool character, I especially loved the scene in court. 8-) Great job, and everything perfectly PL ok.

Todd: I must say, reading from this script online is a huge pain because the pages take ages for me to open, I constantly have a spinning wheel. So scrolling takes a lot of time just fruitlessly waiting instead of being able to PL fluently. :? Can you, or anybody give me a downloadable pdf file for this script ? I tried to download from hathi but this doesn't seem to work for me either. It would help me a lot and save me time if I could read through the book at a normal pace instead of waiting for the pages to open. :(

I don't think I will ever participate in a project again that has a hathi text. :? I've never had trouble like this with any other source before. But this is not fun.

Thanks

Sonia

Lemuel act 2

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/lightnin_lemuel_2.mp3

Lem has a bit more to say in this act but it is a court scene and he is the Judge :D
