Thank you. You get this project's award for first file in.

Todd
For this project, I'm guessing that would be a virtual glass of sour ale and a brightly festooned tricorn cap, right?
Or a fresh set of puppet strings.

Here's the Goddess of Nonsense..

I hope I didn't skip any lines, but I'm not very confident of that right now. I had trouble deciphering the line assignments in some spots. The "puppet show" was very funny, though, and should be hilarious when it's assembled.
A wonderful performance, Kelly  You will be our Goddess of Nonsense for all eternity now  You really got into character and I loved the voice you put on for the whole act. Excellent job.

And now...unfortunately I need to hit you with the bad news :( The sound seems very corrupted to my ears, there is an awful crackling throughout the file which mars the wonderful rendition you are giving. I can hear that you act it out so well but the sound is not great and sometimes makes things hard to understand.

My suspicion is that you were reading too loud and that there has been excessive clipping through the entire file :? I hope I am wrong though, because this will be impossible to revert back to normal. I am hoping you still have the original file and it's uncorrupted, and that maybe the distortion happened in the converting or uploading phase. Then at least we can salvage it. Fingers crossed.
Another reason could be that another program was updating, then Audacity does strange things with the sound sometimes. That once happened to me and I had to re-record many lines :(
A third thing to check would be the USB cable, maybe it is loose and that's what is creating the crackle. Did you notice it in any other recordings ? My money is still on the loud volume, but let's cover all our bases.

As for missed lines, if you could only add your nonsense-voice to the OMNES chorus, then we'd be complete

so at the end of the file, add three quotes:

> p. 66: "Long live King Henry I. of Bantam."
> p. 66: "Huzza !"
> p. 67: "How !"

Thank you. And again, I hope we can salvage this wonderful performance.

Not quite sure what happened here. I have a new USB mic that is very difficult to plug in sometimes. Perhaps it wasn't making full contact? At any rate, I decided it would be quicker to re-record than to try to fix what was there. Sorry for the glitches!

Corrected file uploaded with Omnes.

yes that could be it, the cable or the plug was moving in the socket and that could make such strange crackling.

Extra careful from now on when plugging in !!! I know how annoying it is to re-record an entire chapter :( So sorry you had to do it, but I feared the quality was unsalvageable.
and wow !!!! I think you even managed to outdo yourself this time. More nonsensical than before  I love the performance. I think this whole puppet show will be a hoot

And now it's PL ok and definitely a good audio quality. Thanks, Kelly.

meowwww....here is the Cat. I had fun doing that part  It could be the prelude to the Lloyd-Webber musical.

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/authorsfarce_cat_3_128kb.mp3
Recording time: 2:25 min.

Question: is Mrs Moneywood really in Act 3 ? I couldn't find her, I thought that was all the puppet-show :hmm:

The stage directions here seem pretty straight forward, so I would be glad to read them.
