Philip act 1
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/purgatoryofstpatrick_philip_1.mp3
Not sure what to make of this character, he is called a prince but also captain of a pirate ship :hmm: I suppose in those days he could have been both.
I see he is a flirt too ;) already looking forward to our scene together. Let's make Todd jealous, shall we

Nicely done Alan, I am curious how this story unfolds. I only found a small textual error:

> at 1:16: "lures me from the miseries" – you say "memories"

thanks

Ah-hem. You forget that I have the power in editing to make your lines inaudible....

 low blow, Todd ! But you just try, I hope you know that you are dependent on my PL ok for the finished act later on  I already prepare the PL notes...

> at 9:04: missed lines for Lucy
> at 14:25: volume too low for Lucy
> at 20:17: please clean train-noise over Lucy's lines

Do you really want to go there ?

Anyway...I simply need to be good enough so you don't even want to cut me out 8-) Here is the flirty wife, but it's all very innocent, you'll see: "Boorish, base, is your vile insinuation 'gains my innocent inclination for the whole of the human race!" (I'll spare you the angel smilie here)

The MW says you are my wife. Like it says in your voice credit, so don't try to tell me you don't know that! I don't like being treated the way you do, what with you paying such attentions to every person that comes across us. Innocent flirtations my foot.

But I guess your words were written by Calderon and/or that translator fiend, and you do do them perfectly. I suppose I should complain to them; won't be any less effective than complaining to you. Grumble. PL OK.

Guess I better just read my lines better than yours so no one pays attention to you. At least I get the last words since you aren't even in Act 3. (So there, ha ha)

Thanks, Paul (You can't even keep that straight all the time!)

 yes I guess this woman is a handful. But Paul is probably too soft for his own good.

And I don't like being threatened with beatings  The scene where I try to haggle down the slaps I deserve from you is really funny. I guess in the end Lucy will manage to wriggle herself out of them all.

I will be there in spirit....

Thanks for the PL ok. :)

Luis seems to be a despicable tormented person, a bit too loose with his blade.
Should suit me perfectly. May I?

Hmmm. Claims for a despicable tormented person and a Canon at the same time? Seems like a great matchup.

Thank you both, Todd

Thank you.

(I don't normally double cast. But here the roles of 2nd Canon and Old Man are both separated by an act without either, so listeners should not be confused.)
