COMPLETE[PLAY]Civilian Clothes by Buchanan - thw
Let me put down my white cane and - ah, there it is. I wasn't looking for it within my lines, but for a new one.
Fixed and uploaded.

well, she is the main female character of the play but you played her perfectly, a bit coquettish to the men that woo her, rebellious with her parents and quite nasty and looking down on her husband. Wow she is a snob there ! Doesn't really go with her affinity for being slapped around by menjennlea wrote: ↑October 14th, 2020, 12:26 pmHere is Act 1 for Florence:

Now I'm looking forward how she will change and fight for Sam when he is in MY claws (or so she thinks)
Perfect first act, Jenn. Absolutely PL ok.
Thank you

Thank you! She really was quite the snob with Sam! Looking forward to recording the rest of herKitty wrote: ↑October 15th, 2020, 6:34 am well, she is the main female character of the play but you played her perfectly, a bit coquettish to the men that woo her, rebellious with her parents and quite nasty and looking down on her husband. sorry for the late feedback, but this weekend has been quite busy but I'm working off my backlog PL jobs now slowly.jennlea wrote: ↑October 17th, 2020, 6:40 amHere are Acts 2 and 3 for Florence:

Excellent job again, Jenn...Florence sounds like a petty spoilt child throughout the play (I admit, she's not a character I really like, a bit too bitchy for my taste, but that's not your fault, I blame the author you played her excellently.)
Act 2 is already PL ok.
One missed quote in Act 3 though:
> at about 10:31: (p. 129) please insert: "Will you send a lady's maid, please ? Captain McGinnis's room No. 369. Mrs McGinnis speaking."
thanks ! That's a huge part finished.

Didn't think you were late with the feedback at all! I quite enjoyed playing her...I wonder what that says about meKitty wrote: ↑October 19th, 2020, 4:30 am sorry for the late feedback, but this weekend has been quite busy but I'm working off my backlog PL jobs now slowly.

oh I also like to play out characters I would be averse to in real life, so it does not necessarily say anything bad about you
thank you for the added line, now all PL ok. Great job !

thank you, Alan, Mr Lanham stayed brilliantly in character. I really have a fondness for the old man wonderfully portrayed.alanmapstone wrote: ↑October 29th, 2020, 3:50 amLanham act 2

There are a few group lines missing however. I picked only those where I think Lanham would be included or on stage:
> at about 2:09: could you insert the ALL AD LIB. lines on top of p. 75 please, so Todd can throw you into the mix as well ? The lines starting with "pleasant day... [till] I'm a Bolshevik myself."
> at about 2:24: (p. 78) here are also some OTHERS lines that you missed:
> "Hear—hear—"
> "Sh—please."
> "Sh—"
> "Sh !"
> "Go on, Mr. Hart !"
> at about 3:50: (p. 99) missed line: "Gone ?" (spoken with Mrs Lanham)
thanks
Sonia
Could I please get an extension on this project? Life has gotten in the way of my real passion, namely Librivox.
