Todd- I noticed in the MW a reader named ‘Lestrade’. I’m not sure who that is but it should be Sonia’s name instead
I’ll work on the cast list for Short and Sweet.

Thank you. I can enter multiple readers at a time by typing in their IDs, and Lestrad and Kitty's are only one digit apart.
Thanks, Todd

You can make up a list of the reader ID numbers, separated by commas, in advance. (I use my email editor.) Then at the MW Assign Reader selection, copy the whole list into the reader box to assign them all to the same section.
Thanks, Todd

Thanks, TJ! So, how much do you actually know about Chaucer and Shakespeare? I have a couple of little corrections I'd like.benderca wrote: ↑January 20th, 2021, 4:16 pm Miss Nora Baillie, A Professor of Literature in Lady Geraldine's Speech:

0:55 I'm not sure if it's just my ears, but I think I hear "His statue was not very tall." This should be "His stature was not very tall." (p. 9)
1:02 This one's a bit more nitpicky, but I can't imagine that such an eminent professor would misquote a line about Chaucer. I hear, "Hosed with a stock of red." It should be "Hosed within a stock of red." (p. 9)
Thank you.

The only experience I have had with Chaucer was my role in "The Belles of Canterbury" in one of our one-act play collections a couple of years ago :mightyfelix wrote: ↑January 21st, 2021, 7:58 amThanks, TJ! But I have read a lot of Shakespeare and acted in several plays, so I have to agree with Nora's assessment of Shakespeare's position, especially in regards to characters like Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing who clearly run the show. (I read a Beatrice monologue in one of our Shakespeare monologue collections). Of course we have characters like Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew who cave, but I have to think Shakespeare wrote that whole play tong-in-cheek -- to emphasize how ridiculous the concept of wife obedience is... .
Here's the new version with the two corrections:

Yay! PL ok now! Just one more role needed for Geraldine!
( Do you know, Canterbury Tales has been on my to-read list for probably almost ten years. I even have a copy. Maybe this year will be the year.)

I'd be happy to claim Jean in 1999.
