On the contrary, Casem is his son. At the bottom of page 166, he calls him "my son" and on the next page, he calls him "sir." You can switch if you want to, of course, but Casem is not a female role.

EDIT: Actually, saying "my son" here might just be a polite form of address. I notice stage directions say "Enter the officer on guard" just before his lines begin. In any case, not a girl!

Thanks so much for all of these, Sonia! I especially love your monologue in act 10, scolding Aladdin for his foolishness. You've been so meek and mild, obeying your master implicitly, but here you've just got to speak your mind for once! :9:

Most of this is PL ok, but I do have some small notes.

Act 2:

0:45 OPTIONAL This could be my speakers or something, but I hear it every time I replay this part. I'm hearing an odd sort of clicking under the words "not only I". It's not a big deal, and I'm fine with it as is, but I mention it in case you want to review it.

Act 5:

1:04 Minor change, but maybe significant. Text reads "I'll pillars carve from them." ("Them" here refers to the tusks of ivory.) I hear "I'll pillars carve for them."

Act 10:

3:18 I found another awkward chorus moment that isn't labeled well on page 296, beginning with "Sevenfold joy and health..." near the top of the page. Will you add this one in, please? I'll make a note for the other spirits to include it as well. Thanks!

Devorah -

I'm finding lines for the Spirit of the Ring in Act 2 (Page 41), Act 7 (Pages 203-204), Act 8 (Pages 219-221) and Act 10 (page 296), but I find no lines for the Spirit of the Ring in Act 5. I see lots of lines for multiple Spirits of the Lamp and the Spirit of Water in Act 5, but not the ring. :help:
You may have already begun recording, but I found a tricky chorus that isn't labeled well that I want to be sure we don't miss. See the note I added for you in the MW on Act 10.

May I play The Enchanter, Noureddin?

Thanks, Todd
Todd, in case you've begun recording, I want to point out that I also found a line for you hiding in the stage directions for Act 6. See the note in the MW.

yes I was done with meek at that point  he needed some serious talking-to.

ok I hear the click too, it was difficult to cut out, so I re-recorded that part, "not only I", the rest stays the same

 indeed a change in meaning. Also re-recorded, only that part "I'll pillars carve from them"

it's a wonder I didn't miss more of these choruses  ok, put in at 3:19. :)
