Hello!

I can take care of Mopse the shepherd, if you'd like!

Let me know :)

awww a nice touch with the singsong in the end Alan.
I tried singing the whole thing but most of the lines had no rhythm at all. The French original was probably better. Only the 2 "chorus" bits seemed possible and I thought it would make a fun ending to the play.

 now this guy is old Grumpy  well done, Andrew, thank you, you took out the most of this role, grumbling your way through it. This will make for a great scene.

All PL ok.

here is my magician already. I went for a sort of incantation chant, because I think that may be easy to copy, so Devorah can stay a bit in sync with me. Hope that was ok.

I also put him into act 3, to differentiate from the other two acts:

and here is the love-smitten Eroxene. I put on my best "blonde voice" for this role  don't get to do it too often. (well in the end I couldn't help reverting to the outraged persona again...a woman scorned, you know how it goes...)

A very confused Lycarsis awaits in the MW. I thought that Myrtil was a girl's name. And if (Uncle) Moppsey is involved, what happened to Floppsey and Cottontail?

Head reeling, Todd

Stage directions for the Comic Pastoral are in the MW. THey don't really amount to much - since this is so fragmentary. I'm really only doing this to help explain why Melicerte ends so abruptly, and to be complete in our full set of Moliere recordings.

Thanks, Todd

 now this made me laugh out loud. Myrtle is a girl's name, but Molière is always very special in his name. And I found at least one French guy who had that name, a mathematician: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrtil_Maas. So in France it used to be a boy's name, it seems.

Lycarsis is a bit of an old goat, meseems....this offer to marry the left-overs from his son is really rich  had me chuckle. Very well done, Todd, loved it.

Act 2 is straight PL ok.

I have two small comments (both optional though) for Act 1 and for the stage directions:

Act 1
> at 7:40: (p. 311) "peace, little fool" - you say "fellow" which sounds a bit too soft for the rage he feels right now, but it's probably optional

Comic Pastoral:
> at 2:04: (p. 325) Scene: Thessaly - you say "Thelassy" if I'm not mistaken

thanks

Sonia

Both are PL OK. I particularly like Eroxene. But why were you so upset about me being the second place prize?

Thanks, Todd

Fixed. I had recorded before with my early morning pre-breakfast voice. Not sure I match it well enough by afternoon now. I can redo the fixes if you think I should.

no it's good like that and PL ok :) thanks

you know the thing with second place prizes is that one was looking forward to the first prize ;) Ask yourself whether Lycarsis would have liked to marry Eroxene's mother as consolation prize.

Well, if Eroxene is young enough to marry Mrytil, then her mother should be just the right age for Lycarsis!

Thanks, Todd
