and here is my first go at Lady Plyant... I had fun doing this character. Such a difference how snappish she is with her husband (he made the mistake of marrying her), and how hot later on for her presumed pretender(s). (should parental guidance be in order ?)

hey, congrats to your first dramatic role. Quite a small part, but you gave it a lovely character and that's all that counts. Every small bit is important to make the whole a great experience :9: thank you so much, this is definitely PL ok. A good start and looking forward to hearing you in other roles soon.

Acts 3 (starting to be steamed up - I wonder how her husband can stand by so quietly while she is verbally copulating with Careless  ) and the very short ending of Lady Plyant in Act 5 (barely worth getting on stage for...)

Recording time: 3:07 min.

Now only missing the central piece in Act 4...this will take me a bit more time, but I think it will be worth it

And so Lady Plyant starts off to her long suffering husband: "can’t I govern you? What did I marry you for? Am I not to be absolute and uncontrollable? Is it fit a woman of my spirit and conduct should be contradicted...?" Followed by "you disobedient, headstrong brute". I mean really. Aren't you all feeling like I - er, Sir Paul - is in the right on this? The poor woman is obviously just plain wrong!

I was surprised to discover later in the play that SHE was not the one holding the dagger....

She is, however, despite her wayward wiles and wanton ways, so bad that she is good - or at least very well performed. PL OK.

Thanks, Todd

“I guess I lost a little bit of self-esteem
That time that you made it with the whole hockey team
You used to think I was nice
Now you tell all your friends that I'm the Antichrist
Oh, why did you disconnect the brakes in my car?
That kind of thing is hard to ignore
Got a funny feeling you don't love me anymore.”

you do see the charm in accepting such a role, right ? It's strange how the playwrights of the time usually write such lines for female parts

Will try to finish Lady Plyant today.

If I can find me a sword, I'd be glad to read Lord Touchwood.
Round these h’yar parts, mysterious stranger, we get more use out of the parrying dagger.

That’d be a main gauche to you, Miss Kitty, ma’am.

and the succulent main part for Lady Plyant. Beware, when she starts behaving nicely to Sir Paul, even offering her lips, that's when he should be afraid of her

Parental guidance applied again in some scenes...I think I start most of my lines with a moan here

hehehe  I always had to laugh when you said that. To support a whole dialogue only on the discussion about whether one is funny or not is a feat in itself. Thank you, Alan, a good start for Lord Froth. A strange character.

Ah no, wait...I forgot a to mention a little snippet:

> at 2:12: repetition can be cut: "He, he, he, I swear that’s so"

if Sir Paul should die, of all mankind there’s none I’d sooner make my second choice.
If that is not providing a motive for murder, I don't know what would be....
Your very obedient and affectionate wife; that’s all. And highly honoured in that title.
Yeah, for the rest of my hoped for very short life? Methinks I better remove all sharp objects from around you. And perhaps I will get my own tea from now on....

PL OK, though I do not think such behavior is. What did I do to deserve this from Providence?

Thanks (?), Todd

 I was thinking the same thing....unfortunately I have the impression that Careless is not at all up to the task...

And I think you will be safe...don't you worry, have some almond pie, fresh from the oven

lovingly, Lady P.

Your choice appears to be one of sauce or mustard, Todd.
