Note for Chapter 17 Script:

I noticed that my script of Chapter 17 also had the remaining chapters 18-32 attached to it. Please do not use these as I was supposed to delete that part, and I went through and edited each file separately (so these attached chapters are not up to date). I've now corrected the script for chapter 17 -- and I added an extra laugh for all the kids on page 4. If you've already recorded the chapter, don't worry about it -- I can use the laugh from earlier in the chapter.

Thanks,
TJ

The Story Girl, Chapter 18:

04:20 "The gods were not all beautiful, you know."

You say "The gods were not AT all beautiful, you know."

I think that "at" changes the meaning significantly, as the original sentence implies that many gods actually were beautiful, just not all. And we know that Aphrodite was definitely thought to be beautiful. I think the story girl wanted to emphasize how scary Pan was, contrary to what would be expected. :D

Thanks, Sparkles!

All of these recordings are a little too loud. I can adjust and work with most of them, except I am not yet sure about Chapter 32 which is 98.7 dB (instead of 86-92 dB), with considerable clipping:

https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Setting_Recording_Input_Level#Peaking_.28Clipping.29

I may need you to rerecord - I'll let you know.

Please download Checker 0.96 and drag your final file into the box and check the volume before you submit it:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

Also, don't forget to leave a 3 second space in between your lines, even when the narrator inserts something (no need to change these now, as I can work with them, but keep it in mind for the future).

Aunt Janet Chapters 12, 18 & 20 are PL OK.

Aunt Janet, Chapter 24:

00:09 The line is: "positively sinful in us to be so worked up over a cat

I hear: "positively sinful of you to be so worked up over a cat" (which changes the meaning a bit).

Thanks,
TJ

Thanks! I love the characterization you give her! Too bad Mrs. McLaren doesn't have more to say, I'd love to hear more from you! Maybe next project. :D Your settings are all correct now. And Mrs. McLaren is PL OK!

Thanks again!
