I PL from the source document. I don't believe this other document is PD so I'll leave this between you and Tricia.

Hi Elijah,

There are a couple of problems with your recording settings.

The bitrate should be 128 kbps and the recording should have a constant bitrate rather than a variable bitrate (VBR) - your recordings are between 82kbps and 88kbps (variable).

Also the volume is too low and falls outside the target range of 86-92 dB for all files but 15 & 18.

The best strategy would be to download the Librivox Checker and drag your file into its window to see if your settings are correct:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker

These are the settings for all Librivox uploads, so you should adjust your standard settings accordingly. As for cutting and pasting them into my master file, I'll check if they sound ok. I just edited your revised line into Chapter 3, for example, and it sounds okay, so I may be able to work with these files.

Thanks,
TJ

My bad I forgot that when I edit the new ones I need to re-amplify the recordings and also change the bit rate again

Don't worry about these files, Elijah -- I think I can work with them. Just make sure you have your settings correct when you record your new chapters.
