Nice acting, Diego!

Your volume is still too low - they're even lower than before.
Chapter 9: 75.4 dB
Chapter 10: 74.2 dB
Chapter 11: 72.4 dB

And we want 86-92 dB.

I suspect that your microphone setting in Audacity is still set too low. Try setting your Recording Volume to 0.86 in Audacity. Also my external microphone also has a place to control the recording volume. On my Yeti Blue it's on the back and is called "Gain". (I have it at about 10-11 o'clock).

Your background noise is low and the quality of the recording is good, so I can still use these recordings, but I have to raise the volume drastically. See if you can adjust your settings for future recordings, though, please.

Chapter 10 is PL OK!

Chapter 9:

At 0:22 you mispronounce "orchard" (Please pronounce it like this: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/orchard -- the US version).
"But come on down to the orchard."

At 0:43, you say "for" instead of "from":
"Just this. I bought a box from him for--for--something.

Chapter 11:

At 0:09, you left out the word "be":
"It would be all right if you could be sure the cannibals would be interrupted in the nick of time as his were,"

Thanks!

Could you please add one paraphrased line from page 4 (it's mixed in with the Story Girl's line, so it's easy to miss):

"Neil had plenty of news to tell. And the more whisky he drank the more he told. He didn't notice that Donald was not taking much. Neil talked on and on, and of course he soon began to tell things it would have been much wiser not to tell. Finally he told Donald that he was going over the bay to ask Nancy Sherman that very night to marry him. And if she would have him, then Donald and all the folks should see a wedding that WAS a wedding.

Thanks,
TJ
Thanks for the encouragement, TJ! I have recorded the two lines you indicated and have reuploaded the file:

I'm glad to hear it, TJ! No worries about the wait. I look forward to listening to this project when it's finished; I really enjoy Lucy Maud Montgomery's writings.

Thanks, Lily! You really bring Donald's character alive wonderfully! I have a good feeling for his charming, but calculating personality in your portrayal. Nice.

Donald Fraser is now PL OK!

Thanks a ton! There are lots of parts to choose from in the Story Girl sequel that I'll be launching soon.

Thanks for your patience, David. I love her writings too -- but I think this book, The Story Girl, is my favorite. I hadn't read it before I launched this project, but I have come to find that this book has a lot of depth and covers a large number of serious, controversial and intellectual topics, under the guise of simple children's musings -- which I find brilliant!

I will be launching the sequel soon and I hope you will join us (there are some larger men's roles that are new to the second book -- like the Awkward Man and the Story Girl's dad).

Perfect! Uncle Roger Chapter 24 is PL OK!

...and that's a wrap for Uncle Roger! Nicely done! His character is so funny and your animated portrayal really brings Uncle Roger to life. Thanks so much, Adam!

Wow! Diego, nice acting! We now see a different side of Dan (the worried, dramatic side). :D

Just one note for Chapter 13:

Your second line, at about 9 seconds reads "I wasn't," (I hear "it" instead of "I").

After you correct that line, I'll be able to finish editing chapter 13 and it will be ready for PL. Yay!

Thanks, Diego!
