Full in 3 hours?? Oh my. Guess some folks had "be in a play" on their New Year's Resolution lists.

All right, I'll start preparing more.

Thanks, Todd

so here is the first act for Hilda. Wow this is tearing on our heart-strings indeed. I had some sobbing moments here, especially in the final act. Still need to edit those, but all is recorded. I recorded this right after "Katie" from the Woman-Tamer... talk about switching characters to extremes here.

and the very tearful finale  highly emotional for me... I had no problems thinking how I would feel if my sister died like that.

I love the part where Hilda is angry with Death.

Wow. This is not the Gilbert of three little maids or dancing sailors and kindhearted pirates, but a terrific playwright putting us all through the wringer of despair. I particularly liked "A weary while I wept" and "But Time's an alchymist who changes gold to dross".

And you play it wonderfully. PL OK.

I despair at making Mousta a fitting counterpoint to Hilda's character. I should have recorded my lines before listening to yours!

Thanks, Todd

strangely enough that was one of the few lines I had to re-record, because I made a mistake in it. Happy that you like the outcome.

I am quite confident that you will be a perfect Mousta. You can merge your pathetic to your villainous nature in this play, it's a dream-role.

Here are the lines for Lady Amanthis. This play is definitely not what I expected from Gilbert!

quite a short part, but a lovely characterization, Jenn :9: full of empathy and sweetness. Thank you so much, this is straight PL ok.

aww Melusine is very endearing, especially in act 3. In the first act I think you gave her a bit of a douting mocking undertone, as if she didn't really believe in these speaking objects. But she succumbed to the temptation in the end anyway. Nice characterization, loved it.

Totally PL ok, thank you, Eva !
