sorry for taking so long for feedback, but the last days were pretty booked out with stuff.

But had a listen to your performance now and WOW it was "beastly" good  Already at the opening scene with the waiter I chuckled very much about this character. You characterized this upper-class dandy quite well. I could see him as member of Bertie Wooster's "drones club" A perfect example.

And I see we have some dialogue together as Leadenhall is the one that gets into the clutches of my dear Rosaline  good thing I heard you before starting my role.

Acts 1 and 2 already PL ok.

Found one missed line in Act 3:

> at about 0:48: (p. 78) missed line: "Well this is beastly ! All the chappies will make fun of me when I get back to town."

awesome performance. This is promising another highly hilarious comedy.

How to make the word "Sir!" sound like an insult.

 they have quite rude personnel at the Gordon. I can almost hear the "quotation" marks around the word "sir" the way you say it, Chris. An excellent stiff-upper-lip waiter. Loved the performance. Thank you, totally PL ok.

Hi Todd,

May I read Walkinshaw? I’ve looked through act 1 and he seems to be the most wonderful prat.

Here's the narrator, act 1, coming in at 20:13. (Please ignore first upload - I forgot to chop down the silence at the end to 5s).

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/rocket_narrator_1_128kb.mp3.

I've corrected typos in the text as best I can. I'm omitting some of the very simple stage directions that can't realistically be used in an audio recording, such as "Joslyn (c.):" If there's any doubt, of course, I've included it: anything not needed can always be dropped during editing.

More to come shortly.

And here is the narrator for the final two acts:

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/rocket_narrator_2_128kb.mp3 @27:23
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/rocket_narrator_3_128kb.mp3 @19:26

The stage directions at the last two lines of page 67 of the printed text are spurious. They don't belong there, but appear in the right place about half way down page 68.

I'll have some other plays ready to upload in the next couple of days, I hope. :D

thank you Michael. Another huge Pinero job  And yes, it's always best to include everything that's written and leave the choice of omission to the editor later on. Sometimes we only realize in the end phase that some directions were needed after all. I remember in "Charley's Aunt" we even included the "right" and "left" positions of some characters because in certain scenes it was important to show how much they were intruding upon the protagonist from all sides. And especially in audio, where you don't see the people on stage, it's sometimes important to tell them where a person is positioned.

So to be on the safe side, include everything. Cutting is easier for Todd than adding later on.

That said, the few things you left out here, are probably neglectable, so I did not mention those, but I found a few things that need to be included after all:

> at 10:40: (p. 15) repeat "she is very pretty, dressed lightly" – there is also a snap of the fingers to mark this spot, so I guess you wanted to cut one of the versions :hmm:

> at about 13:17: (p. 18): missed line: "Joslyn" – I think it would be best to add "to Joslyn" here, as she switches to talk to him now. This was surely a typo in the text and the "to" omitted. It is quite important though to mention that she is not speaking to Walkinshaw anymore

> at about 15:59: (p. 22): missed line: "sinks into chair"

> Checker tells me the volume is a bit below the minimum of 86 dB. Maybe you could also increase the volume by 2 or 3 dB, since you are reuploading anyway

thanks, will try to finish the other two acts still today

what a long act ! Hopefully this doesn't need to be cut in two again. Well this was a perfect run-through and straight PL ok. Great job, Michael. Thank you so much for making my job easy.

And on to the last one...I hope I can finish it still. Luckily it's not as long as the other two.
